About Green Elephant
– Bea Johson
Established in 2009, Green Elephant was set in motion with it’s strategic aspiration to build, own and operate customized biogas plants and waste management facilities across the country/globe. Along with its well flourished roots in India and Germany, Green Elephant also focuses on expanding in the emerging markets of Southeast Asia and Africa.
We have developed a unique technology for biogas production and gas cleaning for large, medium as well as small scale plants. Our various plants that we have installed for our customers, work on approved and innovative recycling and biogas technologies, utilizing organic waste. Waste management activities aim to provide solutions for converting various type of organic waste stream into clean gas which can later be utilized for powering homes and vehicles.

Turning unusable elements, which are nothing but a burden to this alluring planet, into renewable energy sources is so wise an idea that can bestow celestial beauty to this human inhabitance. Biogas production is one of them. And Green Elephant is the sailor of the vessel that has undertaken this venture. Consequently, we made a flourishing entry into the markets of the USA, UK, Germany, Hong Kong, and Austria. And today weâre focusing to expand into the leading markets of Africa, and Southeast Asia.
Mankind, today, is somewhat more dedicated to the advancement of our environment, and so are we. The fundamental visionary principles upon which the pillars of Green Elephant were built, in 2009, were not only to develop something innovative but also to leave a lasting legacy of encouraging impacts on society by recycling organic waste into clean biogas. Since we are shrewd observers of the market, we have unveiled how to ceaselessly evolve ourselves to adapt to new changes and trends.Â
Green Elephant collaborates with prominent specialists throughout the world to use various waste management solutions, not just organic waste. Green Elephant collaborates with companies such as MBA Polymers Inc, a global leader in re-cycled plastics with facilities in California, China, and the United Kingdom. To name one more, we have partnered with The REMONDIS Group (Germany) which has served, till now, over 30 million customers.
Our innovative technologies, creative ideas, and futuristic goals lead to our association with numerous acclaimed and accomplished companies like Volkswagen, Tata Consultancy Services, JSW Group, Essar Group, and so on. Our customers can facilitate themselves with our advanced organic and inorganic waste management technologies. Besides several services including Waste Management, and Compressed Biogas Solutions, we have also developed a technology called Green Box, which is literally a mini biogas plant.
Carrying on the memorandum of success is an immensely formidable task. But, with an extremely devoted team working day in and day out, Green Elephant has so far experienced tremendous growth and has gained the faith of investors, partners as well as customers. To conclude, we are not only trading but also addressing a greater promise: Weâll keep contributing towards a better and cleaner environment to the best of our abilities.
Our Strategy
Green Elephant aims to grow by developing itâs four major activities further.
Our responsibility
Our main motives were the promotion of the latest recycling, waste management & gas up gradation technologies in emerging markets.
Health & Safety
Green Elephantâs health & safety guidelines follow the highest standards & we are taking care not only for our own business & employees but also for our family of stakeholders, such as suppliers & contractors. We take concrete measures to assure safe & reliable operation of our assets which include health & safety ratings for contractor selection, job safety analysis, control of work procedures & incident reporting. As we are developing most of our projects in developing markets, especially in rural areas, we intend to share our profits with all stakeholders. Together with the providers of our feed-stock we have agreed to set up a positive signal & will try our best to fight against climate change & increasing pollution.

Carbon Credits
Green elephant realizes the importance of clean energy to promote sustainable development especially in rural areas. Coal & oil have traditionally been used to fuel the power needs of energy-hungry developing countries, though this comes at a huge cost to the environment. Emissions from coal, petrol or diesel driven engines not only accelerate climate change but also effect the health of millions of people worldwide. We believe every cubic meter of clean gas generated to replace coal fired power is a step in the right direction. Green Elephant aims to develop its biogas projects as a CDM project (Clean Development Mechanism under the Kyoto Protocol) in order to generate additional revenue from selling Carbon Credits (CERs).
